Welcome. I'm so glad you've found your way here.

The Tides Within is a space for the slow, layered, sometimes messy work of healing.

It’s a place where we honour nervous system rhythms, identity shifts, grief, joy and the everyday weight of being human.

Why I created this space

My lens

_

“I created The Tides Within to hold what so often goes unspoken - the tiredness behind the mask, the loneliness that follows us even in company, the quiet ache for a life that feels more honest and more ours.

As a therapist, a writer and a person with lived experience of trauma, identity transformation, and chronic overwhelm, I wanted to build a home for the things we’re often told to move past too quickly.”

_

This space brings together:

Therapy-informed writing that reflects the inner weather of real life

Gentle programmes like Perimenopause with Power to support body and identity transitions

Tools for emotional regulation and nervous system care

Occasional check-ins and reflections, straight from the sofa

"Whether you’re here to read, reflect, reconnect, or rebuild, there is room for you.”

_

My work is grounded in:

Compassion-focused and somatic approaches

Developmental trauma theory

Queer-affirming and neurodivergence-aware values

A deep belief in the healing power of long-term connection

"I believe that healing isn’t about fixing yourself - it’s about coming home to who you were before the world told you to be smaller, quieter, easier to love.”
